We use to float from horseshoe bend to jay bird. We caught a good many fish in the shoals on top and worms. Took us all day.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I think it is about 8 mi on the water. This can be a looong float at low water. Enjoy, just plan on being there a while.

I've never floated that section but I have put in at Horseshoe Bend and paddled upstream when I couldn't get anyone to go with me. So I've seen the last 2 miles or so of that float. It is really slow in that section with barely any shoals to speak of. I know there are some decent shoals in that stretch but I don't thinks it's much. Like the guy above said, be prepared to paddle a lot and for it to take a while.
