It's pretty stable for load development but most of my rifles weigh a couple more pounds than yours so your mileage may vary. I'm thinking about having my machinists make a different style top for it that will allow for a slight clamping effect. But....I've shot several groups in the 0.2s with this rest so I may be chasing a problem that doesn't exist.
