I use a lead sled but don't use the lead. I use some sand bags at the range. Works great.

I had a cheap one. I placed the rifle on it and ratchet strapped them to the table at the range. It was easy to sight in because it didn't move. I shot standing beside the rifle. No human error possible. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Allen-Sharpshooter-Gun-Rest/32801048
