If they won't play on the land your hunting, just ride up and down the interstate and get dropped off. That area is loaded with birds. Good luck and safe travels!

Lincoln and Grand Isle both have birds that stay in town. The first time I ever went to Nebraska we were stopped at a Red light in Grand Isle and there was a strutter with a group of hens not 50 yards off the Rd. I was in the passenger seat so I rolled the window down and cut to him and that sucker hammered out a gobble! I've loved Nebraska ever since! Good luck and post some pics!

Good luck! I'm only about 40 miles from NE, but I'm too worn out to hunt any more.

Its just now getting right up there. First of last week Gobblers were henned up bad. Was able to get around on a few birds. By the end of the week we started seeing lone hens and gobblers searching. We had some great success calling in birds around noon to 4pm. Before that you better be in tight to catch them before they get to far and after that its the usual hunting around their roost tree.
