Had I been hunting 5 miles into the hike. I carry a spare release in my pack and used it today. Went to shoot a few and the trigger on my Scott silverhorn was not engaging. Good sign that carrying a spare is a good idea for me anyway.

You could make it work if you had to. Just push the trigger forward and hold it there with your trigger finger while you come to full draw. As soon as you move your finger it will fire. I know this because I had to finish the last half of a 3d tournament this way. It's a tiny spring in between the trigger and hook that breaks causing it not to work. Send it back to Scott Archery and they will fix it.

I know it'll work, I tried it but, nice having a working release tag along with me. That's why I carry the one I have. I won't lose my release since I put it on when we start biking and don't take it off until back to truck. I emailed Scott, just waiting to have them do their thing.
