I waited late to buy my licenses this year. Normally I buy them prior to the end of March to get the license discount price (which I highly recommend, but that's another subject).
Well long story short, I just bought my license over the phone, because for some reason they aren't offering Spring turkey license online this year.
Well, I thought the lady said that I would receive copies of the license and permits via Email. What I actually received is just a receipt with a confirmation number and a list of what I actually purchased.
So with that being, does anyone know if I'll be in the clear with just the confirmation numbers on my person? Because we leave on Monday for Kansas and it's pretty obvious, im not going to receive the actual licenses and permits by then via snail mail.

Why not place a quick call to Kansas DNR and get their answer? That's what I'd do.

I was in the same situation; tried to buy online and realized they have done away with that option. I think they want you to have to buy real tags instead of printing them out. I'm planning to buy mine at a Walmart when I get there. Hope you can get straight with them.

Call the law enforcement division. That's who you would be dealing with. I've called our enforcement division with questions before and they have always been helpful. Just a suggestion

Yep, for future reference for anyone, don't even fool with over the phone. These people have no idea what they are talking about.
I got a refund and plan to just buy it when I get there.

I bought and printed my license online. Then ordered my tags separate but I got mine before we went. From my understanding they swapped companies on their online stuff and that option may all be back in the future.
FYI: our outfitter did tell us that the wal mart near him didn't have them and we would've had to go a pretty good ways had we waited. You could go ahead and buy your license and print them and it may make getting your tags more seamless once you get out there; just a thought. Do you know what Walmart didn't have them? I gotta buy it on Sunday and I imagine Walmart will be the only place open. I wonder why in the world a place that sells a license would not also have tags.

UPDATE: I just text the guy out there and ask him. He said that some of the Wal Marts had the updated system and some did not. From his understanding it was about 50/50 a couple of weeks ago. He said just call ahead to a couple that you're passing and you should be able to find one that has them. Or the first one you come to may have them; he just said he knew the one closest to him did not have them when we were there which is why he made that statement. The one closest to him was Chanute.

We always buy ours at a WMA office in Kansas. Usually works out good as we normally meet the area biologist and occasionally a GW. We've picked up good MRI several times like that.

Thanks for the info, and thanks to everyone else for the info. One of the OK hunters decided to go to KS with me, so we are gonna stop in Dodge City to go to church and we will try the Walmart there. KS is gonna be the end of the season for me. Supposed to be 90 degrees Monday so we better kill them early.
