Anyone planted them before? I sprouted some from seed this year and have had them set out for a while now. Turns out the local Wal-Mart got some Goliath seedlings in so I could have just gone that route but what the hell.

A guy from Mississippi at another forum I visit just raves about this variety of tomato. Claims it's the only one he's ever seen that out produces Better Boy. So far I can say this, the plants are outgrowing everything else I have set out. And whereas most tomato plants I have grown will have clusters of 5 buds these have 9 or 10 per cluster. They are also already setting fruits.

Looking great! I have some in the ground too and they look great. We will have to compare notes.

I've never heard of them. Those bloom clusters look like cherry tomato clusters. Update us later and let us know how they turn out.

First Iv'e heard of them. Looking forward to some more updates. Are they named goliath because of large fruit or large plant or what?

They are supposed to have some pretty good sized tomatoes but also produce good numbers. The guy I mentioned from Mississippi states that the folks in the Amish community near him are growing and selling this type almost exclusively now. Says they told him they picked about 3000 pounds of tomatoes off 120 goliath plants.

We have prolly 10 goliaths growing. Ours aren't producing anymore clusters than better boys but maybe they will be "Goliath"

Never heard of 'em. I've got some grape tomato plants, though, that are sweeping through 6' tall, now, and LOADED with fruit.
