Well it was a bad season. The drought started it all. Couldnt plant and by the time turkey season rolled up we had lost most our birds. They were just gone by middle season. They obviously had moved on to more fertile grounds. Couldnt strike one. Seven members hunted in April and nothing. Well, two members are down today fishing and for some reason they bump six hens going down our main road. Bump two more by the lake and adding insult to insult they saw three more on the way out. Dont know why they are back on us now since we basically have no food but it makes it frustrating. Im glad I had an opportunity to chase these crazy birds this year but I feel like they got the best of me for sure. Looking forward to getting another piece of land for next year. Congrats to all who conected on a bird. I still wouldnt trade this season since I feel like I still learned more about these addicting birds. Cant wait til next season!

We didnt over pressure it, it hardly got hunted. Its real hilly and you can get on some ridges and hear all of Bibb County. It was just all of a sudden they was gone. We think it has alot to do with not planting fields. We do have two coon hunters but thats never affected our turkey guys from killing Toms.

Well if you could hear all off Bibb county you'd be hearing birds cause I've got 900 acres in bibb with plenty of birds. We killed 3 and missed one this year. And this was in 7 days of hunting out there. Once again why do you think not planting fields last fall did it. Turkeys only eat wheat, oats, and rye? I hunt on the NF where there is 10,000 acres where they don't plant any fall plots and there are plenty of turkeys out there. And why would they all of the sudden show back up the day after the season ended if it was because you didn't plant food plots.

buc10. Sorry, what I meant is you can hear any bird on our 416 acres, not actually the whole county, lol! Past president pretty sure its from not planting. He says, and this would make sense, that our birds eat almost exclusively, grass. Over the years weve tried different types and varieties. Tecomate has out performed all other seeds weve tested. Simple, just tastes better. Its not uncommon to find a few members sippin on some Tecomate tea from time to time. Nut shell, they just left. If I hear one, I wont alway kill it but rest assured im gonna get a strong response from him out of my Quaker Boy and folks back at camp will usually get a text to get the grease hot if you know what im sayin. They just werent on us durning the season.

Dang, net year if yall get some grass growing and an older more experienced prez i don't see how yall aint gonna slay some good boar toms with that quaker boy box. Yall might want to put in a big order of hot grease in advance. I like frying turk's too...it makes them taste the best. That's just what works for us.

People let their clover plots get 6 feet high??? Jl you know about bushogs? No he said his turkeys eat grass, and you weren't able to plant any grass this fall. Clover isn't grass. What tecomate clover product were you using? Do you normally plant clover every fall? You planting an annual clover? Good luck fellas with yoUr spot. You seem that know all the answers I wonder why your success lacks? I'm in Bibb county often and I would trade you a PBT hunt on my place just for an opportunity to witness your management program and your sanctuary

If you guys are serious I can put you in touch with our coordinator of admissions to the club. We are going to an equity membership next year since we are going to try and patent some of our sanctuary tools. I will ask the club if we are currently taking applications but I dont think we are but would be able to put you in our waiting list file. You also have to pass a bow test out to 85 yards.
