Anybody planted them without inoculate, besides me this past weekend. Was under the impression they were preinoculated. Wondering if it was a total waist

I think with soybeans you don't have to inoculate if beans have been planted there in the past and the bacteria has built up in the soil. Can only assume the same for peas. My guess would be you simply need to fertilize and include N. Missed a chance at saving some fertilizer costs, but I wouldn't call it a total waste. Maybe someone else will chime in though.

I plant without the innoculate all the time because the idiots at our co-ops wont carry it because no one buys it and it goes bad. I asked why don't you include it with the pea's and charge extra? They just don't want to fool with it.

You can buy it online and you get a whole lot of benefit more than the few bucks it costs. The first year it should be a must do

I have never inoculated cowpeas and have had great results. Those seed will germinate and grow almost anywhere. I just put an order in for 40 bags. It is $35.00 per 50 pound bag.

I didn't inoculate mine. Check out my pics of of how they have grown week to week. I just need to know when they are established well enough so I can take down my fence.
