This is insane. Military wages are so low, now some wanker wants to deduct $100 a month to pay for VA benefits. This won't affect anyone but new recruits. Screw CONGRESS! benefits

That is stupid when you consider the billions the VA gets to cover veterans financial and medical needs

Not to mention the incompetence in the VA. The Patient Advocates here only recite the VA line. I thought they we supposed to represent the Patient. WRONG That 4 year college tuition is $2400. Where can you attend for that? Harvard, Yale Lol Bama, Auburn?

Man I've ruffled feathers several times at the VA because of the way they were treating me. From my experience very few do actually care for the veterans that have to come there for healthcare. Its really a shame that people chose healthcare as a profession only for the pay and benefits not that they shouldn't be paid well but they should care about the vets that come there.
It took nearly 10 years for me just to get in to get a physical when I first started seeing some problems with my health and nearly a twenty year fight having to prove to them everything was from military service in which time I almost died

My grandfather is 89 years old. WW2 veteran. Served under Patton. The way the VA has treated him the last decade is utterly shameful. When they sold their house and moved to Baldwin County, they cut his check down to almost nothing. I'll stop right there before I blow my top.

VA medical benefits need to be privatized imo.
Just give the qualified vet a VA insurance card to use at private doctors and facilities and do away with the entire VA hospital system.
It is worth a try.

Just give the qualified vet a VA insurance card to use at private doctors and facilities and do away with the entire VA hospital system. That's not a horrible idea, but if they set reimbursement rates to the same level as Medicaid/Medicare it would probably limit the number of providers willing to see them. I do think you are on the right track though.

Our vets should be able to walk into ANY medical facility anywhere and get whatever treatment necessary at that time at absolutely no charge to them. They already paid their bill.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.
