Gobbled good on the limb then it started to sprinkle shut them down. Waiting for it to stop and hoping they will fire back up.

A buddy dropped me off at a new spot today but no luck. Heard one gobble about 4x but he was a property away. It was good to walk some new ground today.

Been misting rain on me in TN all morning. I've about decided to say the heck with them and head toward home and my recliner.

Don't think I've ever heard a turkey hunter say this but deer hunters say it all the time ... "can't kill one from the couch". So it's 12:11, I couldn't go this morning but I guess I'm about to load up.

Now accepting any words of wisdom regarding afternoon hunt.

Smells - Seen 4 birds die in afternoons this year, I'm a fan... probably have to deer hunt them more. If you have area u have seen them in past just ride it out, call super sparingly (or not at all), and I'd still lean towards fields or nesting areas with all the rains that have moved through our areas. Hens liable to be sitting and gobblers close by hoping one will get off the nest for a bite or to dry off.
