Yup...great fried chicken and great catfish. Haven't eaten there in probably 20 years, though.

If you're ever up this way in Carrollton, Georgia, check out Brown Dog's Deli. Great food for sure.

Hog Heaven is good and it certainly qualifies as out of the way, but I prefer Jim's sauce a little more.

It's not really IN Fyffe. It's about 237 miles down a back road or two once you leave civilization behind. When you get to his farm, you will pull down a long dirt driveway to the guys house. Well, it's actually back behind the house.

Hard to beat it.

thumbup Dang good BBQ buffet in a little building behind the guys house. Only on Sand Mt.

On the way to San Antonio last week, me and the wife stopped in Luling Texas to get gas. We noticed a line coming out, of a Hole in the wall, Barbque place at 10am in the morning. We went over a got in line and talked to others in line. We were told this was a local Texas secret. Some have driven two hours that morning to get in line. It was incredible

They're jalapeno cheddar sausage is real good. So is their jerky they have right there at the counter. We stop there pretty regular when it's hunting season.

They do have the best broasted chicken around.... The BP at the Clanton 205 exit on 65 comes in second place...
