Very cautious optimism on the Plains. We understand that an offensive explosion during a scrimmage can mean a stout offense, but it can also mean defensive deficiencies. A-Days are for fans, nothing much else.

You are 100% correct, however, aint no different with all the hype with the barners about Stidham. Everybody is national champs in the spring. Truth is, those game show nothing and mean even less..

From watching AU's spring game, they better hope that Stidham doesn't get hurt. Woody Barrett looked awful and we already know that Sean White isn't an SEC QB.

Sean White I don't understand. He's not a great QB but he's got grit. A coaching staff has to be able to get a plan together around your players talents and not your talent around your game plan. The whole putting a square peg in a round hole thing. Every year since he's been there the coaching staff has done everything but have a press conference and say "we don't want him and he want be our qb!" Every year they have to fall back to him and he gives 110%. Show the boy some respect an gratitude for what he has done and what he means to the program: commitment, stability, hardwork, effort, and loyalty. And if he gets beat out in a system that doesn't fit talents, then so be it.

Sure, everybody says the same similar things this time of year…..Bammers say that we’ll contend for another national championship….and Barners again say that this will be the year they rise above mediocre. The one big difference is that only one proves to be true year after year. Bama is loaded with more talent than any other team in the nation. We’ll be right back in the mix again. I think it would stoopid at this point to bet against Saban. He’s a proven commodity. Ol’ Gus on the other hand…..well, there’s always "hope" again this year I guess.

cant put alot of stock in the game. the defense was only allowed to do so much.in the 4th they were allowed to blitz more and it made Tua nervous. but most definitely Hurts long ball looked better. alot of work to be done on both sides of the ball. as for field goals same old story.

From watching Bammers spring game better hope hurts stays healthy but the pressure got to both in the 4th quarter when the D was allowed to turn up the heat. Sean White won a few SEC games last year but is prone to get hurt. Malik Miller looked good to me.

I watched the 4th quarter last night and that was a freaking dime that Hurts dropped in to Ridley (I think it was Ridley) down the right sideline for a TD. He looked very comfortable from what I saw and can still make plays with his legs. Kids a gamer.

If I was an Awbern fan, I wouldn't bother with getting excited about another mediocre team either.
