In their defense, I've seen cars like this before because when they arrived there was an idiot pulled in to the space in front of them all the way into their spot and they got as close to the nose of it as they could. That is what it looks like when the other party leaves.

They are scared my wife will hit them. True story in that very Publix parking lot. My wife thought the car was in reverse....hit the gas and was in drive. She hit the car in front of her.

This perfectly illustrates my point of being taught from Pre-K on to "get in line" and how people are stupid.
The driver did not even pay attention to the parking spot. They parked in line with the vehicle to the left. Had they pulled into the parking spot fully, it would have been weird and out of line to them.
