He gobbled his head off on the limb and then flew down onto the dam of the pond that we were set up next to and strutted for probably 15 mins. I don't know what caused it but all of a sudden he broke strut and ran straight at us, we didn't have decoys out and hadn't made a call since he flew down. He made it to about 20yds without me being able to get a shot on him and then turned a complete 180 and took off running away and putting. He made it to about 65 yds when I saw my gap in between two pines and made a last minute hail mary shot rolling him over dead right there.
