What is the best method of separating TSS from all the rubber/carpet/trash that collects in the trough? I thought I remember someone mentioning big magnet? Where would I buy a magnet for that type use? Other ideas?

I can't give any first hand account as I don't load, but if TSS is as heavy and dense as advertised think of ways to remove the lightweight debris. Maybe compressed air, or run water over it, similar to panning for gold. The heaviest stuff will stay at the bottom.

Leaf blower on idle into the trap first and then magnet for pickup. Once I get it in a cup I pour back in forth into cups outside in a breeze or just lightly blow into it myself while pouring

I pour it all in a tuperware bowl and run it under sink till it blows all the trash out. Rubber and carpet fibers float up and over sides. Shot stays in bottom

Keep doing it multiple times with a magnet. Take it out of the trap to a pan, out of that pan to another. Back and forth a few times will do it. A light blast of compressed air will help. Remember , tungsten is ferrous and round objects can be magnetized . I proved it a couple weeks ago at work with steel balls. Luckily, I have access to a de-magnetizer.

I've never found a need to wash it off, i ain't eating it, just killing stuff with it. A little carpet never hurt anyone.

I just use the magnet on an extended rod, which I use to pick up lost/dropped items when working on the equipmemt.
