Has anyone seen this? It appears to be a bill that will eventually required registration of all ATV. Says it voluntarily but as with most government programs I'm sure they'll make it mandatory if this passes.

And penny taxes are always "only temporary" BS. I would imagine it would become mandatory at some point if it passes..

Most states already require ATV registration. With Chucky looking for pennies under every rock I'm surprised they haven't already done it

My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Chucky is our worst nightmare.

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Next up will be ATV safety training ... for a fee, of course.

If the registration is "voluntary", what would be the incentive for someone to register one voluntarily?

There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:

1. All Politicians Are Liars
2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement
3. Taxation Is Theft

What's the big deal? It's for the good of the "herd" right? Just a lil' management techniques. Trust me, it's for your benefit. loco

And yes, of course, safety techniques aren't far behind. It'll be really easy, like GameCheck.

From bill: LINK

The term includes any all-terrain vehicle. The
9 term shall exclude any golf cart; any vehicle used for
10 military, fire, emergency, or law enforcement purposes; any
11 motorboat; any vehicles used exclusively on airport property;
12 all farm machinery, farm tractors, and other self-propelled
13 equipment for harvesting and transportation of forest
14 products, for clearing land for planting, for utility services
15 and maintenance, for earth moving, construction, or mining;
16 and self-propelled lawnmowers, snowblowers, and garden or lawn
17 tractors while such vehicles are being used exclusively for
18 their designed purposes.

ETA I misread it. There are a bunch of fees etc listed at the bottom of the bill. I hope this goes nowhere.

Because if it is stolen it will make recovery much more likely.

I seriously doubt that. Just record your VIN or serial number at home.
