In my 30+ years of turkey hunting, I never called up a snake. Me thinks that story is BS.

I fell asleep one time and had a black snake decide to sun itself on my right shoulder. When I woke up I decided to make a few more calls on my pot call. Every time I would yelp I would hear a s-s-s-s sound behind me. I didn't know the snake was there and every time he saw my striker move he would hiss. I finally saw his head out of the corner of my eye. I just eased the call down and sat still till he crawled off me and away. He was probably 4ft long but looked as big as a king cobra!!

In my 30+ years of turkey hunting, I never called up a snake. Me thinks that story is BS. Ive seen black snakes called up on 2 separate occasions. Both times they lifted their head up off the ground looking when you'd yelp.

I just got a kick out of the guy saying snakes were attracted to calling. I know several people who have had snakes slither by while hunting but being called up no. I was just poking at you about the snake Ben.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!
