I think they will stay with SIG due to the interchangeability of slides, barrels, and frames. Basically the chassis is the issued weapon and the armorer can fix you up with what frame size is best for your hand.

I own Glocks and Sigs, and back in the good 'ol days we shot Bertta 92s. Anything is an upgrade from the 92. Sig or Glock, doesn't matter.

The fact that the trigger pull is the same if shooting the first round or the last will help some of these officers qualify. It will also be WAY easier to train a giant mass of folks who will likely only fire their 320 once a year at a paper target....

Glock 22 is my Duty carry weapon. Wouldn't carry anything else but a Glock. I know that if I ever have to pull the trigger, it will go bang. They aren't pretty, but they are about as reliable as they come.

I personally think that a Glock is the most reliable semi auto. I know there are several that are reliable but I think statistically, you will find fewer failures with a Glock.

I don't think a Glock is the best choice for someone new to guns that likely won't take the time necessary to learn the pistol.Same could be said for any semi auto. A revolver is likely the best choice for the person who wants to keep a gun in the nightstand and never train with it,as long as we are talking handguns.

Statistically a Glock is much more reliable than a 1911 and even a better choice for most users. A 1911 requires enough training that sweeping the safety becomes a natural part of the draw. That level of training is not something most users will commit to,and one day it will cost them.

On the other hand, drawing a Glock and always handling it with your trigger finger extended and resting against the slide, never on the trigger unless you are about to fire,is just as important as learning to disengage a 1911 safety on the draw.

In general nobody practices or trains enough. Some of these things become learned habit only after years of handling guns.

I practice holding my Glock sideways in the bathroom pointing them at the mirror. (while taking a picture of myself with my phone)

I feel like I'm fairly menacing and most crackers are gonna run when I hold it like that.

Saves ammo.

Same trigger pull every time, Glock or 1911 for me. If in combat without my Mdl 629, these two will do.
