Also high doses of aspirin can cause tinnitus.

In hindsight, about a year later is when I started noticing the tinnitus. I probably had it prior because like many of us 50ish year olds, I shot guns without hearing protection and played loud music and such. But looking back, that's when I started noticing the buzzing more frequently. So I may have contributed to it with that "I'll be a good boy and take my aspirin" routine.

A dumby, I am. I'm sure the Hank, Judas Priest, Ozzy, AC/DC, Molly Hatchet and such in my younger days, along with standing arm's length from the speakers at the Molly-Blackfoot concert in Boutwell in 1985 or at the Supper Club, didn't help a bit.
