Right before crossing the power line to set up where I could see down the bushhogged road that parallels the power line I decided I had best wait and hear him gobble again so I would know if I could even get across. Well after waiting a couple of minutes he gobbles 175yds down the power line to my left and hen cuts real hard on my side of the power line about 100yds to my right and he answers her. While trying to find a place to sit down I see two gobblers emerge from the woods about 125yds to my left so I just sit down and look down the bushhogged road that crosses the power line and within 2 minutes he and a buddy came by and he took a load of Mag Blends to the noggin. It was quick hunt and I was in the right place at the right time as he was dead by 6:10am. He is my biggest bird to date. He had an 11" beard, 1.5" spur, 1 7/16" spur and weighed 19.2lbs. My photobucket is messed up buy maybe Crenshawco will share a pic of him for me.
