The houndstooth seems to be a good one from what I've heard. Reminds me a lot of a hustlin hen from how it looks and seemed like it sounded somewhat similar in the YouTube videos.

x2. All great calls. In pretty much that order for me, except the first two is a toss up.

My favorites are the Halloran Purple Heart over Cedar box, Preacher Man Snake Wood over Mulberry. Both of these calls have worked very well for me this year.

For the money, you can't beat an SS Custom box. Call Al or Josh and tell them the sound you want and they will build you that call. Great customer service and quick turnaround. I also use an Albert Paul, Preacherman, Marlin Watkins, and a Halloran box. All great callmakers but most have a long turnaround time.

Hands down the Original Quaker Boy Box Call. Believe me, I have run them all. The Quaker Boy just seems to have the right pitch that gets them going like no other call ive run. Ive had Toms fly over lakes to get to me. As far as sound, tone, strikability, duribility, engineering, craftsmanship, and sweet, sweet music goes, theres Quaker Boys and theres everyone else.

You need to consider writing a book about your box call and all its adventures. You could even include a bonus section on turkey management

I could if we has any birds on us. I just know if I have my Quaker Boy and my bow, I'm gonna eat.
