I hear these guys on tv talking about hanging tree stands at night. Anyone done this? What's the advantages? I feel like I'd make to much noise and booger up a place.

I've seen guys move a stand after they have seen where the deer are moving. That was done at nite after coming out from an evening sit. No way in hell I'd be walking in the Southern woods after daylight when the snakes are moving. Not very safe either.

At first I thought the thread said, Hunting tree stands at night.
Hoping it would bring back Timber2 and his Mom.

I have moved climbers at night so I could hunt them the next morning.

Be honest, you don't care about timber2, but anytime you can bring his mom up in a post you are going to...
I wouldn't want to go out after dark in some of the woods I've been in here. 2 words. Black Panthers.......

I've moved stands at night for the next mornings hunt, no worse than daytime hanging to me. I like to more a stand in season in, or just before a rain.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Most times I've seen them move loc ons. I carry my climber because thieves are everywhere. I've set up a climber on the river and padlocked it to the tree. Came in before daylight and it was gone. Had to be coon hunters to have found it in the dark. I wasn't too torn up. It was an API predator and weighed around thirty pounds.

It was an API predator and weighed around thirty pounds. Man that brings back memories. I had one of those. Hated to carry it, but there aint a more comfortable stand ever been built. I'd love to find another one.

It's usually dark when I take my climber in and put it on the tree, just happens to be early AM when I do so. Hunting public ground, I won't leave my stand unless I hunt it all day and plan on coming back in the morning. I've killed deer from stands left overnight and stands I packed in that morning.. I guess it depends on the situation. If I was on a place I knew well and didn't fear having my stand stolen, I could see moving the stand after an evening hunt.

Yep..I did it one night getting to a different state late.
I had seen a bunch of deer using on gully to access crops fields/ag area when turkey hunting.
Come archery season opening weekend I left work and drove to that spot out of state.
Got there around 10 pm to deer hunt the next am...and had picked a tree sitting calling birds that spring. I went and hung that night in the dark.
Next am I arrowed a nice seven pointer coming through.
Ive done it also out of state hunting to make an adjustment on a stand as the deer were 50 yards to far away.
That night we moved it closer...Stuck a good un there 2 ams later.
