And others have emailed DCNR before and been told Trophy Rock is OK.
So again, there's a gray area that should be clarified by DCNR, announced to the public and then enforced (if need be, or is possible). And instead there's confusion, "I was told..." and "But they told me ..." scenarios and a bunch of silliness because no one will address and finalize the question. Just like corn.
I know. That's why I shot them an email. Probably depends on the GW you encounter as to whether a citation would be written.

Plain salt is the only thing you can legally hunt over.
Along with Trophy Rock. not according to the law as passed by the legislature.....a DCNR regulation cannot override a law. Period. But then, this IS Alabama..... 
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
