Beaver have me flooded out again. They have dams built about every 50 yards it seems and they build them back faster than I can tear them out. I have watched YouTube videos and I have enough woods sense to me to trap them Myself.

What do I have to have to be completely legal. I want the things gone. If you live close to the Shoals and want to do this for me-For free, let me know.. I will be getting after them as soon as I hear..

Try some snares. They are legal in AL if placed in the water. You can buy a dozen ready to go snares from F&T for $16. Get some Dobbins Backbreaker for lure. Meat Trapper has very informative videos on YouTube and he traps in Central AL, so relevant to our area.

shooting them at dusk and dark is partially effective...330 conibears work great in their runs/slides...kill traps have to be submerged

Trapping in Alabama

Brochure: http://www.outdooralabama.com/sites/default/files/TrapAL.pdf.

Is a fur catcher’s license required of an individual who is nuisance beaver trapping? No. Nuisance beaver trapping does not require the purchase of a fur catchers license, if the raw furs or pelts are not intended for commercial use [9-11-59].

Nuisance Wildlife Regulations

Alabama game and fish regulation 220-2-.27 allows for permits to take protected wildlife causing crop damage, property damage, or concern for human safety.

A property owner or tenant is allowed to take one squirrel, rabbit, raccoon, opossum, beaver, or skunk per incident that is causing damage to said individual’s property without a permit.
