Does anyone have any experience with Winchester Deer Season XP ammo. Was specifically wondering about the 150 grain bullets for the 30/06?

I think they will work great if you don't need too much penetration. so don't hit him in the shoulder bone. the tip on those is HUGE! so it's going to open up in flesh or organs and do TONS of damage.... but a thick bone might make it come apart too early. I definitely wouldn't trust it in the brush. a little twig will start that big tip opening up. behind the should shot on a deer? I imagine it would be devastating.

I used them in my .270 last year and this year. Shot a 140lb 6 point at about 50 yards and the organs were liquified, he ran about 40 yards and I have no clue how. Never seen a blood trail like that. Then this year I used them, but it was a new box but same 130gr. 200lb 10pt hoss comes out and I shoot him in the shoulder, no bs he acts like I didn't just shoot him and keeps looking for the doe in heat he thinks he smells, so I lay another one on him and it puts him down but still takes him 20 minutes. So I think if you can place the shot where it can enter and possibly exit without hitting and big bones they work great, but if you are like me and get a little shakey when a buck is in the crosshairs you may want a bullet that will stay together better. I will say these will group really tight at the range compared to core lock or academy brand.
