I am listing this for my father. He is selling his 2002 Protege. The car has been well taken care of and is in very good condition. Everything works as it should. It has 144k miles on it. It is the higher end ES model with: Power steering Power brakes Sun roof A/C Power windows Power door locks Remote entry Aluminum wheels It has just recently just had the following work performed receipts will be included: Tie rod ends Sway bar links and bushings (Front and rear) Timing belt Water pump Belts Spark plugs Coil packs Fresh oil change Front brakes Alignment Tires are in good shape, all lights work and there are no warning or check engine lights on. It has a clean carfax. The only minor issues are that the paint is faded on the roof and the trunk lid and the headlights are slightly cloudy. If you know anything about these cars they are as reliable or more reliable than any Honda, Toyota or Nissan. My son and daughter both drive one. This would be a great car for a teenager or college student, or just a reliable and inexpensive daily commuter. he's asking $3750, but I'm sure he would be willing to negotiate with someone who showed up with cash. His name is Jerry and you can contact him at two zero five - 915-3844. Don't PM me about the car, because I would just have to get you to call him anyway. The car is located in Trussville, AL. PS: He does not text, so phone calls only and only between the hours of 2:30pm until 8:00pm during the week as he cannot get service where he works and he goes to bed at about 8:00 . Please do not call him and ask to negotiate over the phone, ask to trade something for it or ask to finance the car. Call, make an appointment, show up with cash when you say you will, and he will show the car to you. When the car is sold I will post that it is sold on here immediately.

Clean engine bay for a 15 year old car. All the work was done with the expectation that my Dad was going to give it to my granddaughter, however her parents, my daughter and son in law, have other plans, so the car is up for sale. I would take it for Irishguy Jr. who is in college, but he already has one just like it. I believe the first person that showed up at his house with $3500 in cash he would take it. I think you could look long and hard and not find a better car for that price, plus you would probably have to do all the stuff to it that Dad has already done to this one to have a long term reliable and safe car.

If this were closer I'd buy it for my mom. They are great cars.
"Now boy, are you sure you can skin griz?"
