Well I've missed a few over the years and killed a bunch but never until today turned one a flip a 40 yrds then hit him again. Took my eyes off of him to get out of my blind cause he's just flopping and turn around and he's gone. Tracked blood for probably 300yds then it ran dry. I'm sure he can't fly and probably won't make it. Made me sick.

Man, Ive been there and done it. Shake er off and get back in the saddle again!

Nothing to do but get right back after them!

Buddy of mine whose wife is taking treatments for stomach cancer was able to go this afternoon, called one in, knocked him down and the turkey up and ran into the brush and pines. He looked and looked, gave up and went to another place for a while, came back and found the bird hiding and dying about 50 yards from his shot! Man was he happy! He deserved a break and got it! Prayers please for Donald and Ellen.

Turkeyboy that awesome he found it. From the last spot of blood I found I spent about 2 hrs walking a grid pattern looking in brush tops around stumps everything. He may have been around but hid well. I would like to think he makes it but lost a good bit of blood.
