Hey Guys - hopefully someone can provide some help. I've got a garage door that stopped working, and it ended up being the board. I swapped the board and had everything working perfect yesterday. Went to leave this morning, and the door would only open half way. I don't think I've got the limit switches set right, but I'm struggling making sense of the manual.

Im turning both knobs all the way to the left, and then adjusting them clockwise. Every time I think I've got it right, it Jack's up going either up or down. Does one limit switch adjust up and the other down? Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Turning them to the left limits force, so the door will barely, if any, close going down. More force closes the door, too much force kills what ever is trapped under the door.

Too little force (up) limits door travel up. Too much force slams the door up, stopping it with a heavy thud.

That is the way I read it.

Top knob is open force. Turning right increases force to lift heavier door.

Bottom knob is closing force. Turning right will close door with heavier force.

the limit switch is not the same thing as open and closing force..

I wouldn't think you messed with the limit switch in replacing the board, as it is attached to the boom?

Thanks for the help Boff. I have it working perfectly yesterday, and it was acting up today.

You're correct. I didn't mess with the limit switch. I was using the wrong terminology. I'm assuming not having enough force up or down would cause it to stop rolling mid way through.

You need to figure out what is binding it. Might just need to lube the rollers.

Everything is free. Door moves up and down during manual operation. The motor, worm gear, and drive gear are all good to go. I think I had the "force" knobs backwards.
