I had 2 of them and never had a problem. for the most part I wish i still had the last one. I dont know why but its rare to even see a Ford Ranger these days.

It seems like the folks that have them don't want to get rid of them. I drove a Ranger for a number of years and never had any problems out of any of the 3 I drove

Hell, I would sell you mine, but I use it every weekend up at the cabin and I don't know what I would replace it with for the same amount of money.

I've thought about getting a Wrangler, but I would have to pull my utility trailer around everywhere so I could haul the same stuff the Ranger will haul.

Mine's got the 4.10 gears and the 4.0 and it does not lack for power. Put it in 4x4 low and it will pull stumps.

The only thing I've done in 50,000 miles that I've owned it is replace the alternator in my buddy's drive way up at the cabin.

Here's one, but damn, I didn't realize what they are going for now. I got a steal on mine when I bought it with 90k miles on it...

If I were you I would jump on this one if it's not already sold:

I would guess that one would be long gone before then. I wouldn't sell mine for $6000.

Phil my Dad had a Truck Identical to that one in Falkville. Those Fx4 rangers are rare. He put 100 k with about 20 a day of that down rough ass mine roads in Walker Co. He loved that truck but had to up size when he got a camper.

I found a FX4 Level 2 in town, going to meet the guy on Saturday and take a look at it. It seems like exactly what I'm looking for

I have had a few.... never again. just junk IMHO. I always had transmission trouble with them along with other little things. sometimes something under the hood, sometimes a switch doesn't work or the radio hums. just gremlins. and bad transmissions. Most guys that I know who had Rangers had the same problems. more than with other trucks or cars. i think this is why you don't see them.
