If done properly, it ends life quickly. The old ways can be the best. Plus I think it would change the attitudes of criminals. Many sit on death row twenty or more years and go to sleep forever. Being hung in public might make the number of murders drop. That's my opinion tho.
Ohio death row inmate Romell Broom, survivor of 2-hour botched execution, resists setting new date CBS News Thu, Mar 23 5:28 AM PDT Like Reblog on Tumblr Share Tweet Email COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Attorneys for a convicted Ohio killer who survived a botched execution attempt in 2009 are opposing a request to set a new execution date. Death row inmate Romell Broom was sentenced to die after being found guilty by a jury of abducting, raping and killing 14-year-old Tryna Middleton in Cleveland in 1984. He denies that he did it. The state stopped Broom’s execution after two hours in September 2009 when executioners failed to find a usable vein despite 18 attempts to insert needles. Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley wants the Ohio Supreme Court to set an execution date, saying Broom has stalled his execution for seven years with appeals. Broom’s attorneys said in ...
They had a little basket there to catch the head so that it didn’t just roll out into the crowd I believe. Assuming that you’re using a good sharp blade with the proper weight behind it……the guillotine is the quickest way of doing the job according to the show I watched. The person probably doesn’t even have time for it to register to the brain that anything happened.

I cannot understand why we dont just use the same meds that are used on animals. Im pretty sure the medicine used to euthanize a horse will be plenty to kill a human.
Or use regular anesthesia. After I had my last back surgery I was ribbing my anesthetist (he is a good friend and lives 2 doors down from me) about the bill. He laughed and said he didn't charge to put me asleep, he charged to keep me asleep during the surgery and to wake me back up afterwards. If we quadrupled whatever he put in my IV then that person would just go to sleep and never wake up.
I understand saying that the convicted deserve some pain, but that is not the States job. Render the sentence and let God judge the convicted. I assure you that Gods eternal punishment will far outweigh whatever we do that takes a few minutes or hours.
I love my country, but don't trust my government.

The brain I still capable of seeing, hearing and feeling for about 7 seconds after a decapitation. Best way to do it with no cruelty argument is put them to sleep like going to surgery and then remove the head.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

the type of crime should dictate the means of execution but let the family decide first. if the family declines to pick then a close friend of the victim should have the option.
I like what that video showed,, any one of those methods would do well... executions could be public,, put em on cable tv,, the Justice channel
