It says the sales are currently underway, surprised there isn't a thread on this already if so. Maybe their merchandise is normal price now rofl

I seen the one in Tuscaloosa had people on the streets with signs saying "Up to 30% off" I didn't swing in and look because I assumed most of that was on clothes. Did anyone swing by any of the stores yesterday?

Don't fall for the "Sale Prices". The companies they are using to liquidate the store go in and mark everything up then discount it. The prices are usually higher than before the liquidation.

Yep. I can't believe folks don't know what something costs before they go buy it.

I believe this, I went in to Tuscaloosa on Tuesday to look around and a Gander Mountain brand Ground blind that I have seen at 199 for years was marked to 249.

That's why I like academy. When they put something on clearance it's on clearance. I saw some flush mount stainless rod holders on clearance there the other day. Regular price 19.99 clearance price 3.50. I bought all 3 of them and needed one more so got on eBay and ordered the cheapest one I could find for 16.50

One could make a mighty fine tackle box out of what they clearance out of there.

Only problem is Academy won't defend your second amendment rights...

They want you to spend money in their store which is 1/4 hunting related but when the gun control crowd make even the slightest sniffle they'll pull the guns.

I don't forget. Dick's too.

It's sad that even when they are going out of business or liquidating or whatever, they still just don't get it.

Went by gander mtn in Dothan earlier this evening. I think I counted 8 vehicles other than what I thought to be the employees.

Went over to Academy right after and vehicles in the parking lot were ten fold.

I'm pretty sure they're not closing the one here.

I was in the Tuscaloosa GM a couple weeks ago. Got a pair of tennis shoes off a rack that were marked $64.99, and there was a big sign on top of the rack that had "Up to 50% Off" in big letters (y'all know where this is going, right?). I get to the register and, sure enough, they ring up for $64.99. I tell the kid running the register that the sign says 50% off, and he says "Up to" --- so I told him that GM is gonna keep that pair of shoes, and I also tell him that that's why they are going out of business too. Then I walked out while he tried to think of a come-back to that.

Can you imagine the money that company has lost in buildings alone.

They're probably just gonna divide up what doesn't sell, their liquidation sale equals regular price every other sporting goods store, and send it to the other stores not closing.

I went in the tuscaloosa store today. Sign said 30% off. Get in there and look and nothing I found was 30%. It was all 10% and 20%. A reel and rod combo that I had bought before for 19.99 had been marked up to 29.99...then 10% off of that. Ended up being higher than before. Didnt see too many people walking out with stuff. I didnt walk out with anything either.
