Figured it would get more attention here but what do y'all think of a tactical version like the Mossberg 464 SPX? I personally like old school levers but the tactical look is pretty neat. Would be a deadly up close hog gun in the thickets

Take a little looking at to get used to! Kind of looks like a "FrankenGun".

I've been wanting to a "scout scope" on my Marlin for a while now! Not exactly tactical, but it would be great for hogs.

A tactical lever action is more ghey than two dudes kissing.

No less than Col. Jeff Cooper recommended the Marlin or Winchester .30-30 Tactical if you couldn't find a Scout rifle. Say what you will about his personality Cooper saved lives through his modern technique development.

I think it's the ugliest gun I've ever seen.

I hate the look of the Mossberg 464. I do however like my vs picatinny rail on top of my Marlins because I can mount a green light on a 90 when I pig hunt at night. I also thread the barrels of my marlins for my suppressor. Kind of hard to not shoot suppressed now. So I think the "tactical" route is pretty ugly but having a scout rail or something on top to mount a light is a good idea.

Its blasphemy. A true lever gun enthusiast would never commit such a sin.
