When we were in Argentina they had diesel Colorados, new diesel Ford rangers, VW trucks hell everything was diesel. How it is in most third world countries. The MP's in the Dominican have diesel tacomas. Go ahead Toyota lovers, pleasure yourself at the thought. I've often wondered why toyota hasn't released a diesel 3/4 ton "Tundra HD". I bet they'd sell as fast as they came out of the plant. Now that Nissan does they probably will I'm guessing. The Nissans are just re-badged Dodges. No, the only thing they have in common with the Ram (there is no dodge truck anymore) is the Cummings engine. It isn't made by dodge or ram, it is made by Cummings. Also, it isn't the same Cummings engine. The Nissan uses a 5.0 liter and the Ram uses a 6.7. Cummings makes a lot of engines for various vehicles and other applications. They are used in marine applications, heavy equipment, large trucks and a ton of other things. http://www.caranddriver.com/news/next-gen-nissan-titan-to-get-most-dodge-ram-attributes-car-news

At that pint, they were not even contemplating a diesel TitN and dodge was still a truck brand. Maybe you should look for something more up to date. That partnership never happened. Chrysler's bankruptcy stopped that deal.

I thought they were Cummins injuns and not cummings.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Ive never personally owned a diesel, but have been in and driven the ford 6.0, 6.4, and 6.7, the duramax lbz, lmm, and lml, and one cummins 5.9. Out of all of them the lbz was my favorite. That motor was a strong SOB.

Chrysler's bankruptcy stopped that deal. I guess I just had read earlier articles and then saw the trucks and to me they look a lot like a re-styled "RAM" truck. Sorry to stir up your ire...

My brother is one of the engineers at Cummins who helped design the Nissan diesel. And they are having nothing but troubles with it. It wasn't ready to go but Nissan wouldn't wait for them to get the bugs worked out. As he put it stay away from it. The cummins diesel in the titan is not a new engine. It bas been used in school busses for years.
