Well well well. Looks like we got a good group here boys. Foldemup, hope we can pull a win off here also. All I got to say is my wife is lucky I'm married to the best woman in the world. She didn't realize when she signed up to work at a women's faith renewal at our church, that it was the first weekend of turkey season. So it won't be till the end of the month before I make my first trip. I should get 2 week long trips in April which in years past is usually the best hunting. Looking forward to the season. Good luck guys.

Looks like a winning team to me! I've always heard of the luck of the Irish, hopefully we'll have the luck of the coonass since we drew one! Lol!

I sure hope I can bring y'all some luck. As much as I suck at turkey hunting, luck may be all I can bring to the table. One thing for sure is I may not kill em but I will chase the hell outa them everyday I'm at the camp. Hank we are gonna sure nuff get together now. I don't share turkeys with just anybody but now that we are team mates, I will share with you. IF WE HAVE ANY!!!

I'm really excited for this season. My 2 oldest daughters (9&11) say they are ready to try to shoot one. I usually run and gun, but I put out a blind on the edge of a small pasture that birds fly down in almost everyday. They haven't been very vocal, but they are there for about 30 minutes before they move on. Hopefully they can connect on one this weekend. Got some .410 loaded with TSS ready to work!

Good luck to them kids. Wish I could be out after them with my kids but we got to still work for a living. Work is way overrated.

Well I've got him roosted but he's in a bad spot! Gobbled probably 15 times on the limb this afternoon.

Just checking in. International paper decided to have our annual outage the first two weeks of season so I probably won't get to hunt much until April. Maybe there'll be a couple of stupid ones left by then. I'm usually good for one turkey a season because I bowhunt. Hopefully I can get three this season.

Did everything but kill him this morning! Set up before daylight about 120 yards from him and he forever more put on a show gobbling. Like 200+ times from 5:30 to 7 when he finally flew down. Took a little sweet talk but had him at 35 yards by 8 and my hunter never saw him. I was telling him right where he was but he still couldn't see him. I made him gobble at 40 yards as he was leaving thinking my hunter would see him but no luck.

Well at least you got out there Hank....I talked myself out of taking my girls in the cold this morning. 34 degrees up here...I didn't want their first turkey hunt to be a miserable experience.

Thanks guys! It was an awesome hunt he just couldn't close the deal! I've replayed it 10,000 times in my head and still don't understand how/why he couldn't see the turkey.

Maybe there'll be a couple of stupid ones left by then. I'm usually good for one turkey a season because I bowhunt. Hopefully I can get three this season. Maybe you should consider picking up a shotgun since you joined a 3 turkey contest. Not trying start out on the wrong foot with a teammate here but I know everyone else is thinking the same thing.
