Ive decided I don't have a two year old on my place. I believe whildbills old school soldier PBT's have migrated to the area. I missed out on a game changer last week. One of my friends ambushed a gobbler in our cutover that had 4 beards totaling 34" and legit 1 1/4" spurs. Im gonna hit some public land and change my luck this weekend. Good luck fellas!

My friends bird. We listened at that cutover for two weeks without a sound and he just happened to catch a glimpse of him while riding down the road. He got on the rd he was walking and shot him 25min later

I missed a big one Tuesday. I called 2 hens in and they dragged him with them. One of the hens busted me and got spooky and I panicked and shot. I got pictures of a big one at another place and I'm gonna kill them both in the next week.

Got close yesterday afternoon, he just wouldn't fly the fence. Back at it this morning. They are henned up bad, and very little gobbling

Attaboy. I called in 3 Tuesday morning and couldn't kill them. About 9:30 I went to check a camera at a place I can hunt and there was a strutter with 3 hens in the field when I pulled up. I put the Mohican sneak on him and couldn't make him leave the hens. I'll get him tomorrow hopefully.

Had a out of stater with me all weekend so I pretty much left my gun in the truck. We battled some bad henned up birds all weekend finally got him a kill Sunday afternoon. Now with him gone I'm back to solo hunting! Birds are finally busting up some and the weather looks great for the weekend, cold in the mornings and warm afternoons and a light south breeze.

This one gobbled over a hundred times this morning and at 8:30 he was finally through with his hens and came to see me.

Been a tough tough weekend here, had high hopes for lots of gobbling and was greeted by silence! Hunted hard all day Saturday pretty much from daylight till dark never left the woods. Got lucky and found a dumb one today about 11.
