Let's bust some heads. Will be checking all of my cameras this weekend to see how many contestants I have to chase

What parts of Alabama is this crew going to be hunting. I have land in butler Crenshaw and Russell county if we are close enough we might be able to help each other out.

How many did each member of us kill last year? I myself only killed two but only got to hunt 6 mornings. Different job this year so ought to be able to hunt more.

Any ideas on team name???

Sorry it has took me so long my wife was put in the hospital last week and we are just now getting settled in. Pumped about getting in the woods this weekend but a little curious about how vocal they will be. I'll be hunting my farm in Kentucky late season but mostly be around Choccolocco WMA here.

I heard 4 this morning they all gobbled 1 time a piece. Maybe better luck on my club this weekend.

Had on gobble twice right where we thought one might be but he didn't follow the rest of the script. Will be under him in the morning, of course he will be where I was the morning......

Finally headed to the woods not expecting much today but going to see if I can find something for the coming days this job is getting in the way of my turkey hunting

I started in traditionally good spot to hear one on roost and shoot him early. (needed to get to work)

Heard a bird back south of me, once I realized nothing was happening where I was I made a move to where I thought he was. I set up for 30 minutes and called a little bit but never saw or heard him.

Decided to make a move to another good spot to hear one, and topped a hill and he about blew my hat off. Had to have been within 75 yards. I just dropped and sat down there by road. He never made another sound, never saw or heard him.

Another frustrating morning, but could be worse. 4 total gobbles from 2 birds. Maybe tomorrow they'll gobble better.

We gunna bust some heads next week fellas; just saw the 10 day forecast. Dogwoods are blooming and turkeys will be dying

Called in 10 jakes this morning heard one good bird couldn't get set up on him gonna go give him a try this afternoon. On the bright side we will have a lot of two year olds next year

Well I put some miles on my boots didn't see much sign in my normal spots so may take me a little bit but good news is I have some birds moving in bat the house I was beginning to worry. I have the next 3 days before I have to go back to work maybe I can make something happen

Well was hunting today but nobody to work so I made a deal so I am making a quick trip to Atlanta will be back and after them in the morning. I figure if I had to miss a day today would be the best one to miss

Congrats! I went this morning got on one but I don't think I was ever really in the game have my oldest daughters birthday today so I will be back at them in the morning

Had one inside 100 yards but his hens took him off. Clean Ridge top to walk to me or off in hells canyon with them....... off into the canyon he went

Ended up calling 19 jakes in three days from different spots on my club heard a couple good ones they were hemmed up maybe next trip

I hunted very hard the last two days and came close but not close enough. Has any of you hunted any public land that holds some birds because Choccolocco beat me up this weekend.

I also hunt choccolocco it's beat me up for like 4 years now but I keep going back headed there now as a matter of fact

I only heard one bird Saturday that gobbled about 5 times and then as soon as he hit the ground he went silent. I'll be back this weekend depending on how bad the weather is. If the weather is not to bad we need to meet up.

I will be working this weekend I typically try to wait til during the week to go there but all my normal spots aren't producing right now didn't hear any on the roost went to another spot one got fired up around 730a and I made the mistake of trying to go around by road to get closer instead of staying put that's about the extent of my day seen 2 dead ones being toted out so at least someone had their number

Blanked again this morning..... I know it's early for my area but a courtesy gobble every once and a while would be nice of em

Yeah I'm usually good for at least 1 behind my house the first week or 2 of the season but I haven't heard a peep have a few jakes and hens on camera but that's it hopefully one will move in soon

Well I got about as close as you can get to killing one this morning never gobbled heard him fly down and could hear him coming watched him walk in to about 45 yards and start to go into strut and just like that he picked his head up and left the way he came. Also got on one later on a gas line that was just strutting never would answer or even acknowledge come to find out he had 5 hens with him. All in all a pretty good day getting closer to a kill anyways.

Any of y'all that hunt Choccolocco are y'all hearing anything? Went all over today and did not hear a sound.

Only bird I've heard that gobbled more than once was one someone else was calling to bird was fired up but other than that I've heard maybe a couple more gobble once

I've heard 2 gobbles all year.... by far the slowest start I've had in a long time. The birds simply haven't moved into/onto my properties. I haven't gotten a single gobbler on camera on my 4 places close to my house that each one should produce at least 2-3 each. I'm amazed and disappointed to say the least....

Same here I'm still waiting for one to show up at the house I usually kill at least one here but they just aren't here. I did call up a couple hens the other day so maybe one will show up before the end of the season

Got hens in all of my spots on cam but no longbeards or jakes

Been quiet lately got the next 3 days to try to get one on the ground

Went this afternoon had one slip in on me got busted maybe they will corporate in the morning

Didn't gobble til 704a came in could hear him spitting shot him at 32 steps 1st with the 20 gauge probably won't be carrying the heavy 12 again anytime soon

Congrats man, have been on birds but they just aren't wanting to cooperate

This one caught me off guard was getting ready to try somewhere else and decided to call one more time and did a really aggressive cut and he cut me off probably 100-150 yards out I yelped a little and then went silent for about 20 min then helped some more to nothing and then cut again and he scared me when he gobbled he was so close then I could hear him spitting may have been drumming but I just can't hear it. Finally I seen his fan on the other side of a stump and got ready. First shot I got I took it at 30-35 yards.

I don't have the best of hearing dang train horns have made mine worst over the past 10 years

I never could hear them when everyone else could either. A turkey walked up behind me one day doing it and I guess it clicked on what to listen for and I hear them almost every year.

Well got the next 2 mornings to give it a go and then 3 days this weekend if it all works out hopefully put some more points up anyone been hearing them ?

I took a 12 year old to try to get his first bird 2 days nothing gobbled on the roost. But called in along beard sat afternoon to 35 yards he saw the boy sifting he left then went and set up in another spot called in 7 jakes but was on the wrong side of tree. Maybe next time.

I went cobia fishing this weekend and left a buddy a key and a map of where to go, who killed a stud at my place,.... of course
