I use to get a pain in my elbow when extending out with weight on it. Like doing a push up, or bench press. I backed way off my weights and did a lot of light weight strengthening in both my triceps and forearm since they both cross the elbow. As I got stronger over time the pain lessened and went away. Just take your time to not hurt anything. If that doesnt help, alabama has direct access to a physical therapist so you dont need a Dr script to get evaluated.

I am left-handed, and I broke my left elbow (radial head fracture) in the summer of 2007. My elbow hurts all the time now due to arthritis. I started using a crossbow last season and haven't looked back. I also roll my eyes and laugh when I read dumb ass comments like the one StrictlyBow made. Just telling it like it is.....

It was a joke CR. I was surprised that someone hadn't already said it already. I guess I should've put whatever little sign goes on there to show that. I hope he makes it out to hunt how ever he has to. But after having multiple shoulder surgeries on both shoulders I still bowhunt so I might be a dumbass but I ain't no pussy.

Probably tendinitis, or tennis elbow. I'd treat it as such anyways first and see if it gets better. I get it when I shoot, or used to shoot often, and would either push through it or let it rest a couple of weeks. Out of season, I rested it, in season, I sucked it up and hunted.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I used to have tendinitis and some times it was much worse than at other times. I tried a lot of things, but nothing really helped it much. My fishing, and casting a rod, kept it aggravated and it just never seemed to heal. After many months of pain, I tried using a rubber flexbar, and that allowed my elbow to heal. When you do the exercise, it really hurts, but it gets better over time and eventually it will cured it. There are videos on how to use it. I don't remember what it cost, but it wasn't too much, maybe around $20. Well worth it for me. I don't know if it will work for everyone, but it certainly worked for me. I've had zero problems with my elbow since then.

I've had it for a few years now. If I shoot alot or pull a chain saw alot it flares up. I've heard it called archers elbow. I'm right handed but pain is in the left elbow. Almost to the point of buying a crossbow due to not being able to practice like I was use too.

I was diagnosed with Tennis Elbow, Golfer's Elbow, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in my right elbow back in December. It took a couple of months to go away but it has flared up several times since, including right now.

I had a torn rotator cuff and torn bicep in my right shoulder. Had the surgery in October of 2015 and I still have weakness and limited motion. Now I have a torn rotator cuff in my left shoulder, awaiting surgery to repair that one. Also have two bulging cervical disks and nerve problems in my neck. (I worked hard to get in this shape) but that's why I went to the crossbow a couple years back. I hate the crossbow but its that or no archery season for me.

So what are you doing that is aggravating it other than shooting a bow? Work? Gym? I've had right and left elbow problems and fixed them, I may be able to help
