Ok, so my little peach tree is loaded with blooms. Someone told my wife I needed to spray it. I asked her with what and got the usual "dunno, fruit tree spray"?

Any way, is there anything special I need to spray or do to try and have peaches?

Spray them and you'll need to thin off about 85%-95% of the fruit when it's small so your peaches will have some size

Spray during bloom with a fungicide, sulfur or generic chlorothalonil, after bloom get the bonide Tree Fruit spray and spray every 14 days until 14 days before you harvest (usually the color breaking stage).

Did the peach/fruit trees get enough chill hours this year?

That's great news. Ours here in Chilton are starting to bloom but they don't look righ, just a few sparse blooms here and there . Looks like we lost a good many plum trees, I guess the drought and not enough cold. I'm sure the Peaches will turn out ok but it's gonna be a bunch of twins and odd shaped fruit. Also some aggravating pickin.

I have noticed that some pears have very few blooms this year also. What do I need to spray my plum tree with to kill that*%$#@# moth that lays eggs in my fruit and when?

Neem oil helps with some insect, fungal, and bacterial infestations. Never spray anything while the pollinators are doing their things, but before and after is fine. ANY fruit that drops should be picked up and removed...that's how the moth larvae get back into the ground to continue their lifecycle. Keeping a hog/pig and running him through the orchard to clean up dropped fruit is one way some people handle that...some people also use geese and/or guineas in the orchard for insect control and, as an added bonus, weed control.

Just 405 hours, here. My Granny Smith apples are blooming, but I'm not holding out much hope for fruitset. The Anna and Ein Shemer apples will be fine, and I think that's plenty of hours for my pears, plums, etc., though they either haven't started or are just barely starting to break dormancy, right now.

Where do you look up how many chill hours your area got?

Dang both these said I didn't get enough chill hours on my peach trees. I live way out in the country so I may have a good amount more hours than in the city of auburn. 2/3 are blooming now

No need to worry about chill hours in a few days, everything in south Bama is gonna be toast. My blueberries and pears are in full bloom and the nuts, other than pecan, and figs were leafing out. 30 degrees is really gonna stink.

Got some that are blooming, some that aren't close. Google pulled up some pictures from least year for me and it appears my peaches were further along at this point last year than this one. Drought related? I don't remember it being this warm last year, but memories are short. Trees are still alive, just not as many blooms as last year on the 12th.

Yep, all my plums are in full bloom right now and we're looking at upper 20's tonight. I wonder though, is it the cold that hurts blooms, or the frost? If the winds keeps up at 15 to 20 mph like predicted, we probably won't get a frost at least.

I have a couple Granny Smith and Ein Shemer apples blooming, and Satsumas...everything else is just barely beginning to break dormancy. We're only forecast to get down to 31°, with a 5 mph wind, so they should be ok.

Well...'Huntress tells me the temp touched 27°.
The figs got bitten pretty badly, probably lost one of the three. Satsumas got it a little bit, but not bad. Apples and pears that were in bloom were apparently unaffected.
That brought me up to 436 chilling hours for the year, but with so much already in bloom, that last little bit hurt more than helped.

DOA it's interesting to see that your fig's got bit back. It got down in the 20's 2 nights here, 26 and then 22. Our figs are still trying to leaf out and don't look bit at all. But then yours probably already had leaves on it and ours just have green swollen buds.

My figs had leaves half as big as your hand and they are toast. Hopefully they will push out new growth but the fig crop has not been good when this has happened before.

My figs have not even attempted to leaf out yet and I am thankful. Hope they will come on out!

I think 2 are going to be alright. The one that I'll likely lose I think had some kind of issue going on with it, anyway. The top 8-10 inches of the whip was a different color/texture than the rest of the wood, before it started leafing out. It was a darker gray, almost black.

Ok I'm new to this to. Can you give an example of a fungicide I would get at a local store like lowes? Also, it's ok to eat fruit that's been sprayed with the fruit tree spray that you spray ever 14 days? I also heard you spray something on them in the winter time?

Is there anything your supposed to spray on apple and pear trees? If so, what and when? I've got new ones that I just planted this fall that I'm fertilizing with about a pound of triple 8 every 2 months. Is this ok?

Google "home fruit spray guide" and some extension articles will come up with some very detailed info about fruit pest management, the university of mizzou has a good publication.
