How bout a guaranteed pre-season prediction!....
I'll guarantee y'all that at the end of season there'll be a lot of happy wives that get their husbands back and all of us will already be planning ahead for next turkey season!
Good luck this year! Last night while showing my wife some aerial photos of some land "we" leased yesterday, she asked "Now when does turkey season end?" I had to laugh!  She gets me though! Dr. B

Plenty of bradfords and star magnolias bloomed. No dogwoods. Be fine with me if some good cold rolled in for 14 days or so. Yep my wife corrected me. She says they are Pear trees. I dont know one flowering tree or flower from each other.lol.

I'm going to retract my dogwood statement. Stopped and looked close today. I don't know what it is. Looked like a scraggly dogwood but it's a scraggly something else. Sticking with my prediction that I will kill my first turkey this year though. Pic just because....

I believe tradition dictates the one with least hair has the honor, regardless of head size.

I probably won't even kill one this season.
I've never counted them but I have at least 40 dogwoods on my 6 acres, and 15 in my front yard. Not a one of them is blooming and they barely have any leaves on them.
