You and Ol' CM keep us in full supply of crazy hunting stories. No need for us to share anything when we have the true property line crossing, pig boar tom killers to keep us entertained.

HA! I gotta admit that was messed up. I give him credit, he wasnt going to leave his new Steve Reeves Strut Buster behind and there is a lot more to the story that didnt make it to aldeer. He has a serious problem with property lines. Only during turkey season. I think he loosed his mind sometimes chasing birds. Shot13, it wasnt the land owner, it was the outlaw crew who leased his land. Now the crazy thing is there is a member of the club next to our new lease that was a member at the club that joined our old club. Man I couldnt make this stuff up if I had to. Already friction started before the season opens at our new place.

Yea..then they already know about CM and his fast and loose policy around property lines!

Bet a couple of those boys will hunt near their lines this season hoping to catch him.

Post up pics of his next black eye ok? We will be looking forward to see what happens.

By the way..its not just property lines hed cross then..lol.

Im sure hes been piddling in YOUR sanctuary too,..hunting those non pressured boar toms.

I went one morning to a place I'd never been and a turkey started gobbling about as soon as it got light enough to see your hand. He was just about exactly where I figured he would be by looking at the topo map.
I did a little tree yelp right at fly down time and he pitched out and walked right around an old 4 wheeler road and stopped in the wide open and went into a full strut right in front of me about 35 yards.
I clucked and made him stick his head up then turned him a flip with one of them old solid red ACTIV 3" #5's.
Came home and ate breakfast and took a nap.
Out of all the ones I've ever fooled with I think that's the only one I can ever remember that was exactly where he was supposed to be and did exactly what he was supposed to do so I guess that's the craziest hunt I've ever had.

Look, I was hunting "near" the property line. I still to this day ain't sure I was over. In fact when I wents back to reclaim my Steve reeves strut buster, I gps marked it, its real close, but I'm saying I was in the right. But understand this, ol cm will trade a black eye for a nice tom all day everyday.

Everybody knows it's not really trespassing until you have 2 property lines between you and your property.

I was hunting before church one morning and knew that I had to start walking out at 8 am in order to get home in time. At 7:00 I had a bird hammering at every call I gave him. At 7:45 he was still a couple hundred yards away down a thick wooded mountain and I knew that even if he was steadily coming, there was no way Id kill him before 8. So I got up and sprinted ( and I mean a dead run) down the hill about 150 yrds, sat down on a trail next to some thick brush. as soon as i had my breath I let out a very small yelp and he answered so close it almost blew my hat off. Within 30 sec he was in the road and getting a ride in the truck.

Back in the early 80s I heard a turkey gobble on the roost one afternoon on public land just off the Coosa WMA. He was a long way off and never did gobble again, but I thought I knew about where he was.

I parked on the closest road the next morning and he started gobbling early. The trouble was he was 3/4 mile away and there were 2 mountains between us and thick woods, and I had to be at work at 7 am. I took off for him anyway, using the old Indian trick of hanging toilet paper in bushes to mark my trail.

I started calling to him agressively and tried to sound like a hen that couldn't wait to get to him, and he was fired up. After more than 30 minutes of walking, I realized I had to kill the turkey within 5 minutes or I would never make it back in time. I was about to sit down when he gobbles just out of sight, and in just a moment he came over the hill on a run, looking for his hen. He was a little over 40 yds when I started shooting at him with my 2.75" gun and 6 shot. The first shot hit him hard, but he was up and running. I chased him thru the woods and finally stopped him with the 7th shot.

He was still flopping wildly when I threw him over my shoulder, taking care to make sure those spurs were pointed out. I followed my TP trail back to the truck, running whenever the ground was clean enough. I was totally exhausted when I signed in to work at 6:59, but it was a good day.

Atta boy, PCP!! That's the way to stay after one!!

Welp, one morning I was having my first cup of coffee, and nearby through the woods, I heard one cut down; I mean, he HAMMERED it ... And he was hammering it to everything, particularly this neighbor's rooster that would "Ahhh AH AHHHHhhh!" BAM! He'd answer that joker right back, so here I go -- dash into the house, get into camo, load up the gun, and haul tail in my truck to my property line bordering my neighbors land... The idea being, I'd setup on my land & call him across the property line...

As I sneak into position, he's still just gobbling his head off, so I setup & start to call to him ... Lightly at first, "yelp yelp yelp" -- BLAHAHAHAHAHA! ... Ok, a little louder this time - "yelp yelp yelp" - BLAAAHBHAHAHAA!! Damn this bird is RED HOT!! So I give it to him the third time, a little more excitement -- "CUT CUT, yelp yelp yelp" - BLAHAHAHAHAA!! OH YA, he's FOR SURE coming now!!!

So I wait ... gun on my knee ... and wait .... and wait some more .... Nothing happened, so ... I gave him a little gut check call -- real quiet, ya know -- "yelp yelp yelp" - BLAAHAHAHAAAHHAA!!! OH ya baby, he's still around, just hung up a little bit ... Give it time, he'll come right on in, just like the Truth videos showed me... smile so I waited, and waited... Waited a bit more .... Dang it, nothing!!!

So finally I'm like, bump this, I'm crawling right to the edge of our property line & getting a better look... And that's what I did... Didn't see anything except the back of my neighbors yard, with a chicken coop & that rooster that obviously I was hearing ... 'bout that time, the rooster pipes up again -- "Ahhh AAHHhha AHH!" -- BLAHAHAHAHA!!!

The damn gobbler was in the pen w/the rooster!!!! frown So, needless to say, my hopes were dashed -- BUT -- that old bird would gobble his head off & struck up several other birds in the area that season, and made for a fun experience that year...

I've told this story on here a couple of times but for the newbies I will resurrect it. I was turkey hunting....... sort of.

When I was 12-13 years old my grandma had a bunch of ducks, geese, chickens, and tame turkeys in her yard. One summer she told me a wild turkey was coming out of the woods and eating with the yard birds. She even said it roosted on my grandpa's old flatbottom boat that was leaned up against an old peach tree. I didn't believe her but I seen it with my own two eyes the following weekend. The gears in my 12 year old head started to turn and a plan was formulated. I knew I was going to need some help so I recruited my old buddy Eric to help me execute my plan. We were going to catch that wild turkey. The next weekend got here and I had my uncle stop by after work and take me and Eric to my grandma's house where I politely asked her if we could spend the night. About 10 or 11 we put the master plan into effect. We pulled out every black article of clothing we had for maximum concealment. I laid the plan out for Eric as we stood at the back door. "We're going to army crawl out there silently and I'm going to drag him off the boat and you can help me subdue him". With racing hearts we slipped out the back door and tiptoed to the corner of the house. We got on our bellies and army crawled the 25 yards to the boat keeping the peach tree between us and the boat/turkey. Once we arrived to the tree we sprang into action. The plan was I was going to jump and grab him by the legs and drag him down. I looked up and could clearly see the turkey above me against the nights sky. I gave Eric the thumbs up to indicate it was go time and I got my knees underneath me and......... leapt.

After that it was like time went into slo mo. As I jumped up to grab his legs, I missed and grabbed a double handful of tail feathers. The bird immediately tried to fly but I had him by his tail fan. Then as I started back down to earth and him trying to fly, all of his tail feathers ripped out in my hand. The turkey just could not get air underneath his wings with me dragging him down. As I hit the ground on my back the turkey veered toward the ground and landed on Eric's back. His spur came across the back of Eric's neck and ripped him all the way down his back. The bird landed just a few feet from me and started flopping around. I immediately jumped on him and then Eric joined the fray. We wrestled around on the rocks and dirt and finally subdued him. We started back to the house as proud as peacocks and I told Eric my knees and elbows were on fire and Eric said his shirt was wet on his back. We got to the house holding this bird which nearly had every feather on it's body ripped out. We rang the doorbell and my grandma answered the door and you should have seen the look on her face when she opened the door and turned the light on. She grabbed that turkey and threw him down and he ran off to parts unknown in the dark. She drug us in the bathroom and made us look at ourselves in the mirror. I had no skin left on my elbows and knees. Eric had a big gash all the way down his back where he got spurred (4 inches of which required stitches). We both had gravel in various places in the skin on our arms and legs and I had a good portion of skin off of my face. I hurt for a week after that and mostly sat in my room plotting my revenge against that bird.

Funny thing is we never saw that joker again.

I know that's not as cool a story as dabbing on your wife's make up and attention whoring on Aldeer but I thought I would give you a good laugh on a story that is 100% truth.

Texas. 2011 or so.

Last morning of a 3 1/2 day hunt. We had worn em out pretty good. The group
had killed over 20 gobblers and my buddy and I had done all the calling so he
and I decided to hunt together that last morning.

The weather that morning was terrible. 40 degrees, raining and a steady 20
mph wind with gusts to 35 or so.

The ranch was huge, 15000 acres, and we had never made it to the South
property line so we left early and drove a golf cart a long way till we found
the back fence.

It's getting light but we both know it will be a miracle if we hear one gobble. So
we are just sitting there in the golf cart trying to stay dry when my buddy says "I
got to sh##. Right now" and takes off running to a mesquite island about 30
yards away. It's the only cover on the wide open hillside we are on.

I laugh at him then put a mouth call in and yelp loud. A turkey cuts me off
mid yelp about 150 yards across the line. He's roosted in another mesquite
island and there's nothing between us but air.

I put the golf cart in reverse and back up till I'm right beside him where he's
doing his business. He says "what the Hell you doing?" I told him a gobbler
answered me. He says BS. I say ok and grab my gun and a jake decoy and walk
to the other end of the island. He figures out that I'm serious and he's scrambling
trying to finish up.

I crawl out about 5 yards and jab the jake in the ground but it's rocky and the
stake barely goes in. I look up and I see the gobbler strutting towards us about
100 yards away. It's raining and blowing and still not good light so he doesn't see
me when I crawl back. By this time my partner is standing there with his gun and a skeptical look
on his face. He thinks I'm messing with him so I yelp and the turkey gobbles at 40 yards just across the fence.

We get where we can see the turkey and I tell my buddy to kill him but to let him
get close so we can watch him beat up the decoy. The gobbler breaks strut just long enough to walk under the fence then goes back into strut and makes a beeline for the decoy.

Now we are both just standing there in the rain with a golf cart and a fresh
pile of crap 10 yards from us.

The gobbler struts up to the decoy and raises his right wing and bumps the decoy. The decoy falls over and the gobbler flies straight up like a rocket. He is 25 yards high when my buddy starts shooting and missing so I join in.

We both shoot at him 3 times at him in the air but never cut a feather. The turkey lands
about 20 yards out and runs into the bob wire fence at full speed and cuts his neck wide open and kills himself.

I would give a lot of money to have that hunt on video.
