All of us have seen the drastic spike in premiums, the lack of care. longer waits to see a doctor. Employers dropping health plans. People having to have several jobs because of laws requiring 40 hour (full time)employees to get health care. Tax Penalites for not having healthcare. How can anyone think that Obamacare is anything but trash?
Not to mention the taxes written in it that had nothing to do with healthcare. What say you GOOBERS?

$15/hr paid protesters

People who believe in "for the good of society" and the European model of high taxes, "free" things for the public and who hate America.

It's pretty simple......they are the ones NOT PAYING FOR IT!!

If the "journalist" would do just a little work into the "protestors" instead of "reporting what the "protestors" say the answer would be clear.

I would not hesitate to say that the vast majority of the "protestors" are NOT the person responsible for making the money to buy their own insurance and therefore have no freaking clue about how much it costs so that it can be free!!!! And many may very well be receiving benefits from companies they work for, again they have no clue about how much it costs or has gone up in the last 5 years for it to be free!!

In other words they are uninformed idiots that the media goes to for the "facts"!!

No more complicated than this. Same ones that get tax "refunds" when they've never paid a penny of income taxes in their lives.

My insurance increased for the first time in ten years. Our benefits coordinator told everyone in the plant-wide meeting that the increase was directly tied to Obamacare. I looked around to see the expressions on a handful of Obama's constituents that were present in the meeting.

If you received news that your 401K had doubled, wouldn't you be happy. They hear their premiums have doubled and think that is a good thing!

I know a lady that went to local town hall meeting and this is what she say. A bus load of folks came to the meeting with signs to pass out(you will notice that there are signs alike) they all carried little American flags and at the meetings they were the ones causing all the trouble. She asked one of the protestors why he was doing this and he told her that this bus goes from place to place protesting and they were being paid and had a food allowance. He gave her a number to call if she wanted to be a paid protestor.
Isn't there a law against causing riots? Who is paying these people?

It all comes down to several. There are reports obama, Hillary and Soros.

I don't understand why anyone in their right mind with or without health insurance before Obama care would think that anything the IRS is involved in is a good thing.

I don't think all of them are paid. I work with a guy I really respect and look up to. His daughter is 28, lives in Californa is pregnant, not married and dating two black guys. She also doesn't have a job.She protests every week. I asked him why and what she hoped to accomplished. All he could say was it was her right.............

Perch, I think it comes down to disease/sickness not really having a political ideology. People are terrified of getting sick and dying so insurance/government has turned this into a false sense of security. Basically, the people who want it and who have gotten coverage through it don’t care where it comes from. Up until the 1930s, people didn’t even get insurance. When they did, it was just to keep from going bankrupt from something serious that required extended hospital stays, etc. It just wasn’t intended to cater to every possibility. The healthcare market needs to be slashed of regulation and treated as a free market entity – because it is.

Those people with pre-existing conditions can now get coverage. My Dad had Type I diabetes since age 6. But every time he was hospitalized, coverage was denied as pre-existing.

But, it's mostly those who are covered, but their premiums are 100% paid for by US (like my worthless sister).

I really don't know what the solution is for the pre-existing conditions. I don't want anyone to suffer or die. It's one thing for someone to have insurance, get laid off and then not have any coverage. There needs to be some kind of bridge.

It's entirely different if someone elects to not get coverage, get diagnosed with something severe and then runs out and gets health insurance and the rest of us have to pay retroactively. I had a guy at work say he couldn't afford to have health coverage for his family (only $36/week), all the while puffing on a cigarette.

Cotton had over 1000 protesters show up at a town hall he did in a town of 2000 people, in a red district of a red state with a Republican governor...a statistical impossibility that half of Ratsass, Arkansas is opposed to eliminating O-care.

I don't know anyone happy with it. There is at least one member here who thought it was awesome back during the election cycle. Can't remember who it was though.

Ending employer healthcare is one way and make it transferable. Most people don't buy insurance for themselves. They pick between a high or low deductible option once a year and if they leave the job, they lose the coverage. They have no incentive to shop for value.

Allowing insurance companies to write contract coverage is another option. Offer 5 and 10 year contracts so you're guaranteed to have coverage and the insurance company is guaranteed to have your business. That would align everyone's incentives and they could offer lower premiums with that guarantee. As it is now, they have no assurances. If you leave or get fired, you are no longer covered by them.

Again, this all depends on slashing most regulations.
