Last weekend we seasoned a chuck roast and put it in the crock pot with some onions and celery and cooked it all day. Mrs. Irish made some smashed potatoes and some candied baby carrots and we ploped down a mess of those potatoes and the just spooned the meat and debris from the pot all over the top. Then we sat around the campfire and ate it. It was horrible. I'm glad you guys weren't there to share it with us...

I thought Weidemans closed? Always stopped there when going through Meridian; excellent food.

How did that mexican chicken soup turn out? There is a mexican restaurant here in Chelsea and that is all my wife orders when we go there. She loves it

As of last week it's still open and showed no sign of distress. Neat old restaurant, kind of reminded me of Bright Star a little. Not the atmosphere so much, but the history.

It turned out good as always. We cook it about once a month around here. It starts with a left over rotisserie chicken...

That red goo you see in the middle is Valentina Mexican Hot Sauce. Good stuff that.
