I won't risk it. That is why I asked. I just didn't know if there was an easy, safe fix before I junked the tank.
Now, should I take it to the country and set it up at about our 400 yrd mark and have target practice? How high will it go at about half full? Hell yeah! Don't do it without Link and me. Oh I'll save it for the crowd next year and I do have some tracers.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

When I was boiling a deer head a few years ago, my hose had a leak I didn't know about. Walked outside and saw the hose shooting a flame out about 3 feet long....an ass puckering moment for sure.

Teflon tape goes on in the direction of rotation of the fitting. Tape it up turn it on, pour soapy water on it and see if it still leaks. No leak equals use gas. Pretty sure it won't take you out if you test it.

Pretty sure it won't take you out if you test it. This, y'all pansies scared of a little propane? Real simple and not risky, tape it up, if it still leaks then don't fool with it and replace tank. If it doesn't leak then use the damn thing. What the hell yall think gas teflon tape is made for?
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

FYI: I don't think that he threads are the seal. They are just meant to hold the male/female sealing pieces together.
Exactly.......... And teflon tape isn't a leak stopper, it is thread lubricant. Lubrication of tapered threads (such as npt pipe) allows for deeper engament which in turns allows them to reach the point where they do not leak.
