I'll be looking for a lunch spot tomorrow. Cheap eats. No chains. Good local grub. Burgers, BBQ, Meat and 3, etc.
I've eaten at Dreamland plenty. Arhibalds is always good. Looking for a place I haven't been.

Chain. Addictive and yet poor Mexican food. Weird. Love da casa.

City Cafe is always good, if you can get there by 11 or a little before. But it's in Northport, though.
I like Hooligan's for burgers and fries. It's closer to campus.

Hey Mikey my Aldeer lunch brother ! I was working in Tuscaloosa a couple of weeks ago and ate at Archibalds on McFarland across from the Ford dealership and wasn't that impressed. It appeared to be a juke joint that also served BBQ. The one next to Academy may be better I don't know but it's really small so you better get there early. The City cafe was outstanding! I also ate at a place on University close to downtown that served gyros ( euros ) but I can't remember the name. I've been there a few times but still coming up blank. Some sort of Mediterranean grill place. Rammer Jammer's has a mighty fine cheeseburger if you have a hankering for something greasy. Health wise there is a Jason's deli and Panara bread on McFarland but I know you avoid them like a shovel.

City Cafe in Northport.
Bama BBQ in Northport has an awesome double cheeseburger.
Buddy's Rib & Steak in Northport has a great steak sandwich plate.
Tuscaloosa Diner off of 15th Street is a good meat & three.
Pastors Mexican Restaurant on 82 in Northport.
Wrights Restaurant on University Blvd near Five Points.
Woodrow's on Greensboro Avenue, NOT the place across from Ford dealership.
Best meat & three will be City Cafe.
What time are you eating lunch?

T town Cafe off of 15th Street and Hackberry is a good meat and three. City Cafe is always a good choice but get there early. Archibald's on Greensboro across from Academy (don't go the the one across from Townsend Ford. The Avenue has a pretty good burger. It is down around 4th and 23rd. Rammer Jammer has a good cheeseburger. My favorite Cheeseburger is at Bama Barbecue on 82 in Northport.

Not sure why all the love for Woodrow's. The original Archibalds, maybe. I guess since Woodrow is kin to Archibald and has the Archibald name in his restaurant title. Definitely don't go to the one on 82 across from the ford stealership. I'll vote for City Cafe also. Buddy's Rib and Steak in Northport is ok. Love their fries. Catfish Heaven in Tuscaloosa. Off Greensboro behind Union Furniture. Good catfish and wings. We eat there a lot at work. And what Big Buck Video said about Bama BBQ. They have some great smoked wings.

They keep 2-3 police officers at the doors as well on those nights.

City Care no later than 11 or no earlier than 2.
Grew up on city café, in the summer while in high school I hit it every day. I had a pre paid meal card they would punch holes in. I think it was like $100 for 50 meals. Good times.

I'd do either City Café in Northport or T-Town Café, which is behind the Sunbeam Bakery on 15th St. T-Town Café may be my new favorite place to eat!

Just finished up, took longer than expected. I've eaten at City Cafe many times, excellent. Headed to Bama bbq for a cheeseburger...imagine that! 12:55 right now, heading that way if anyone wants to join. Bright green shirt and amazingly rugged man.
