I agree with the bad purchase but like you said folks can do what they want with their money.
Then again, I'm surprised they are still making that Titan. I have never been a fan of them (even the old models). The reason I say I'm surprised they're still making them is that it doesn't seem like I ever see them on the road. I see 1 or 2 here or there, but doesn't seem like enough to keep them going.

Some folks got more money than they got sense. Nah, some folks are just willing to risk their entire budget just so they can look cool. I know a guy with a $45K truck that doesn't even make $25K a year. He has practically nothing.....but he does have a $45K truck.

I think it's great for the guy and I really hope it makes him happy. That's a pretty good way to look at it

did he just really want a Titan? I know a few folks with them and every single person I've talked to that drives them, if honest, will admit that it wasn't their first choice, but was the only thing they could find that met all their criteria and was within their price range.
but it seems like with a $60k budget, you could buy a brand spankin' new [anything.]

We've done got fleeced by the car companies. It is already done. You'll see when you go look for the next truck. Go check the price of new cars and you'll realize $60k is not abnormally high.
We bailed out the auto giants and what did we get? Higher priced due to low interest rates and extended finance term. Add to that the real kicker... less warranty. Kiss 100k mile bumper to bumper bye bye. They got a bunch of fancy garbage on a work truck that in no way will last 200k miles like it should.
Are the good times really over for good?
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

I haven't bought a new truck since 92 and I never will buy another one. I refuse to throw away that kind of money on anything that depreciates. Only thing worth $60,000 is 60 acres of timber land.

Maybe it was worth it Ah heck I just threw up in my mouth a little. No way a titian is worth 60k especially one with that graffiti all over the side of it. I bought a new 2011 crew cab zz1 when the local dealership was loosing their dealership during all the auto bail out crap. I hope to never buy another new truck and if I do it dang sure wont be a 1500 Silverado. This one may last but I don't care for it as much as my 2003 Tahoe I traded in on it. I hate the car buying ordeal but have to face it as my commuter car was caught up in diesel gate so I sold it back to VW and am looking for a replacement now. Anybody got a Rav 4 for sale think that will be my next commuter.

Me exactly. But hey, it runs, havnt had any problems, and honestly, I like it. Probably could have bought 4 more trucks with the gas bill, but oh well.

Be honest, he paid $60K for the graphic and a truck was included. No way he'd have paid that without the wrap.

I drive a 95 Chevy that was paid for when I drove off with it. It currently has 257,000 miles on it. I also have a 97 Honda Accord that has 240,000 miles on it that was paid for when I drove it home. The wife drives a 2009 volkeswagon Jetta that has 110,000 miles on it that is paid for as well. I've never had a new vehicle and by god I'm wanting one now. Go get one. All my stuff was paid for until I went and bought me a new Truck.. Well new to me, It was a used 2014 model. Every man should treat himself to a truly nice vehicle at least once in his life, Even it he gets buyers remorse and sells it 3 months later.

Hey, as long as he didn't spend too much on a fine bottle of whiskey or premium beer. Or $10 an acre for a lease

I bought a new truck in 2012 and after a yr of driving it I got a company vehicle and got tired of paying a payment for a vehicle sitting in the driveway that only was drove 3k miles a yr. sold it and used the profit to pay for a 05 z71 suburban. You actually made a profit after buying it new and selling it a year later? You should be in sales!

I've always felt like the smart one at the boat ramp with the $2500 truck and $3500 boat, parked right between $120,000 rigs.I've gotten 10 yrs use out of the boat and could get all my money back and the truck is worth almost triple what I gave for it.

My dad bought a new f150 for $30k out the door in 2011. 6 years and 100k miles later, he will make money on it when you consider his depreciation write off.

After you get a little older/wiser you go from looking at those people like they have it going on to looking at them wondering how much more debt they can handle. No thanks. Again, I'm not one to tell another man how to spend his money, but I have a 06 Silverado paid for and a 93 Fourtrax I bought several years ago for $1600. I'm one that won't buy any kind of recreational vehicle until I can pay for it. If I can't pay for it, I don't need it.

No such thing as a $60,000 pickup truck, though there is such a thing as a $60,000 price tag on a $30,000 truck.

Good point DOA but there's no such thing as even a $30,000 truck. I won't pay more than $10k for any vehicle. Period.
