Once again there's a baiting bill in the Legislature. What are the odds it passes?

Is it to completely legalize it?

That is what I understand. A $15 fee required per feeder.

A buddy heard it will be legal by deer season and figured they might put a charge per feeder .

A fee is pure crap IMHO, its either legal or it isn't and to charge a fee for a sticker is BS.

Lol. So are they going to limit the number of feeders per acre? What purpose does the sticker serve other than to show a warden that you donated to the state?

make them spin feeders, and set timer at 30 mins after daylight and 315 in the afternoon. they wont be nocturnal because they will want to make sure they get their share of the corn

So what if you just dump out a pile of corn or scatter it across a field?... Will you be required to drive a stake in the ground with a board nailed to it to put your sticker on?

No, if they make it a law where you have to use stickers, I'm pretty sure that means you have to use a feeder

It serves to illustrate the major focus of the states interest I mean why wouldn't they charge $15 for a sticker. The only ones who don't currently bait are those who comply with the law so obvious we would pay the fee if we wanted to put out a feeder and hunt it. That and since there is obviously ambiguity in the current supplemental feeding law wouldn't it be easier to just pay the $15 fine I mean fee and not have to worry about it?

See? More regulations, laws, chit to have to do, fees ...

But no, we need to be progressive.

Some of y'all asked for all this chit instead of leaving well enough alone, taking care of your own house and just enjoying hunting.

I did and even though I posted the link I am not sure it is correct the website shows todays date but if you Google HB43 you get the 2016 bill. I looked for the actual bill and HB43 2017 searches lead to a deer tax and tourism bill so not sure the link is for the current bill or the 2016 one.

What's going to be interesting is how wardens handle this with turkey hunters. If the number of feeders jumps on a club's property, will turkey hunters be sitting ducks for the wardens?

You guys know Bentley is looking for a way to replace the grocery tax if he gets it repealed and passing a baiting law with a requirement of a purchased permit per feeder could be what they're looking for
