Hi I'm from out of state and have some family that used to live in mobile and I was looking to do some hog hunting in the near future. He said that the deltas was good places to go. But I don't know anything about the area so I'm wanting to find out what the regulations are and help and tips for hunting in the are. Thanks!

It's complicated at best and access is best by boat.

Different areas...different weapons...different seasons..

Yeah I did a little research. Is upper the best by foot or really no best by foot?

Upper is best if no boat.
However, it is hit n miss with some long walks.

Boat is almost a necessity.

Would a 16ft flat bottom work okay in that area or something a little bigger?

That will be fine. The motor/range will determine the best place for you to launch. Pigs change patterns just like deer and right now they are recovering form the heavy pressure they had during deer season. There are plenty of those mofos around.
