Any of y'all ever tried their IPA? If you like an IPA you'll love this stuff. If you don't like an IPA, you'll probably start liking them...

If the goal was to get drunk any horse piss beer would do. Comparing trim tab to PBR is like comparing a real vagina to your hand. I haven't even touched the surface of the various beers made out here.
I drink a ton but there are so many brands to choose from. While it might be cool to try 'em all, I find that I get the same result from the top of the line as I do from the PBR's of the beer world. Why pay so much for something else? So you can brag to others about your experience. That has no value to me.

You have to drink 5 PBRs to get the same effect from 2 good IPAs. Plus they just taste better if you've bothered to try them to find the ones you like the best. It's no different than wine or other types of liquor. Some you will like and some you will not.

I've only had Trimtab on draft and have to say I enjoy it a lot. I did try a Trimtab raspberry flavored beer that was a little to light and way to fruity for my taste. Good People make a decent IPA it has strong hints of grapefruit if that's your thing.
NOW is the time for all GOOD men to come to the aid of their country.

I had some of that this weekend up at the cabin and it was good. I lived through the years where you couldn't get any decent beer, and I am thankful that we have a burgeoning local beer industry in all local towns. It is the way it should be and the way it always has been in places like Europe and used to be in the United States.
I don't drink to get drunk, I drink to relax, have fun with my wife and friends and I enjoy the taste.
A good locally brewed beer made by fellow Alabamians not only taste good, but supports the local economy and supports the family of some pretty decent dude that has a dream job of brewing beer all day long. I can't find the negative in that. I get great tasting beer and some local people get paid doing a job they love and are passionate about so they can support their families.
My current favorite beers are porters and stouts. I have some of the Blue Pants Chocolate Oatmeal Porter in the beer fridge right now and that is some mighty good stuff.

Trim Tab's Pillar to Post is a nice brown. The IPA is decent. The rest of their stuff is just not that great to me. If you like brown ales you need to try Sweetwater's Georgia Brown. Smoother than a Bill Clinton apology. Regarding Trim Tab, I'm sure I've tried their IPA but I can't recall. Had it been great I think I'd remember it. They do a lot of neat small batch stuff and I'd like to get down there & try their sours.
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

It is hard to believe but i have never tried an IPA, I did have some Cahaba American Blonde this weekend and it was great!!!
Back to that Nitro Chocolate stout, it was like drinking a dark chocolate bar man was it good....

I've always heard IPAs are a love them or hate them beer and I guess I'm in the hate them. I do like some of their others and it's a fun place to go.

Y'all do realize that almost all of these craft brewers, or a large majority of them, are of the liberal mindset, right? Just like the big companies that have their "policies" and support liberal issues, a lot of the smaller craft brewers are the same: support liberal causes, have the hipster mindset, don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, are anti-gun, and so on.

But the big name beer manufactures like Budweiser that are based in Europe are not? I have said this before; if I quit buying stuff from people whom I disagreed with for whatever reason, I would be making my own beer, whiskey, clothes, guns, knives, growing my own food and riding a horse everywhere.

Agreed for the most part. Avondale's Mr. Todd's dIPA is alright in a pinch. But nowhere near as good as Snakehandler. GP and Cahaba are definitely head and shoulders above the rest of the Bham brewers. I'm giving Ghost train a pass for now. They are still fairly new. Another favorite brewery is Back Forty. The Truckstop Honey and the Naked Pig are fantastic!

I saw it at the Publix the other day when i picked up some Cahaba, by the way the manager of that Publix told me when I asked him about the Fair Hope(he happened to be on the beer isle)he said if I didn't like it just bring it back and get my money back.... even on beer..

I really liked their 51 Pale Ale but when I tried it was via cask & it had been dry-hopped with Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin hops. (Excuse the beer nerdy talk.) Shocking any store would give a refund on beer you don't like..

I just can't drink an IPA. I have never tasted potpourri, but I would imagine it would taste like an IPA.
I'm more of a German beer fan than anything. Paulaner Original Dunkel/Hefe Dunkel or Oktoberfest are my favorites. Or anything similar like Spaten Optimator.
I will agree with others though, some of those places are fun but a little to hippy for me. Just give me an evening at Hildegards or Ol Hildeberg in Huntsville with a gigantic German beer.
