When you guys get a new bow, how do you tune it? Bare shaft, paper, field point to Bhead?

I always paper tune with field points! my broad heads will fly the same as my field points and yes I do shoot them before I hunt just to make sure.
I've never understood the purpose of bare shaft tuning. you are not going to shoot it bare, so why tune it that way.

I tune bare shaft. Headshot, the benefit of bare shaft tuning is fletching corrects slightly erratic flight from longer distances. For example, if you're testing your arrows from 10 yards +, they will correct. There's no correction and it's easier to see the error when using bare shaft tuning. The errors are more exaggerated.

I hope we have once again reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. Theres a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: as government expands, liberty contracts. Ronald Reagan

If you're talking about that new Prodigy, I recommend you visit this page on AT:

I like bareshaft, but if it's off, you need to know what to adjust and look for. The days of just adjusting nock point and rest is over.

Paper tuning doesn't show near as much as bare shaft.

I was just curious what folks do in general. I didn't paper tune or bare shaft and my field points and broadheads fly true. Maybe I've just been lucky with that bow. I should get the prodigy next Tuesday but, hunters birthday is not until first of may.
