What besides white Dutch clover will tolerate regular mowing at a height of a couple of inches? Getting ready to reseed the backyard in a fescue blend. I always mix some white Dutch in there for the deer and to build the soil. I've had a bunch of fill dirt added over the years and I'm trying to build it up.

I can mow the white Dutch, but was wondering if there was something else I could plant as well.

Thanks,

Any type of perennial grasses or legumes. Bermuda would probably be more palatable than the fescue and it goes dormant in the winter so the clovers can thrive a little better.

Some fescues can be toxic to grazing animals, too.

Deer don't eat bermuda or fescue

Looks like White Dutch is the only candidate. Broadcasting (3) pounds in with the fescue.
